WEST PLAINS, Mo. — The Missouri Job Center in West Plains is offering a grant to help fund occupational skills training for area residents.
The Missouri Works Together grant is a collaborative effort to provide temporary disaster relief employment and career and training services to workers impacted by the opioid crisis and develop a stronger workforce through occupational skills training in Howell, Oregon, Douglas, Ozark, Shannon, Texas and Wright counties, as well as temporary humanitarian employment for up to 6 eligible individuals in the region.
While the 6 slots for the humanitarian employment have been taken, up to 50 people will receive career training through the grant. Spots are still available for that training.
