Missouri Senate Budget includes Education, Medicaid Relief

Missouri senators passed their version of a supplemental budget for the current fiscal year. Most of the money contained in House Bill 3014 is tied to education, Medicaid and further COVID relief. 

Missouri Senate Appropriations Committee Chair, Sen. Dan Hegeman of Cosby, says the bill includes just over $4 billion in federal funds:

During discussion on the floor of the Missouri Senate, Sen. Jill Schupp of Creve Coeur says she believes this proposal cuts certain medical services: 

Some of the contents in the supplemental budget, such as federal COVID funding for schools, have a deadline approaching. House Bill 3014 now returns to the Missouri House of Representatives for further consideration.
