Springfield, MO. – For those outside the know, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is split into different Troops that cover the state. The main Troop for our listening area is Troop G, but the neighboring Troop, D, just received a new commanding officer.
This announcement was released on Monday, September 9th. The new CO has been named as Dale Jinkens of Troop A, who has been with the highway patrol since 1993.

Jinkens was born in Fort Madison, Iowa, received an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO., and served in the US Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993, just before joining the Highway Patrol.
