Mobile Cell Signal Tower Set up in Licking for 911 Services

Licking, MO. – Over the weekend, the Licking, MO. Rural Fire Department addressed a problem when it comes to their overall ability to communicate in the small Texas County town, as well as a temporary fix in case of emergency.

On Sunday, it was posted on social media that AT&T service has been poor to nonexistent due to a down tower, and that a FirstNet mobile tower was implemented at 8:30am.

This mobile tower was put into place as a way to maintain better connections between emergency personnel while signals are almost completely gone.

The bright side of this is that emergency 911 services should be active even the tower is downed. However, those who use AT&T as a service provider will likely be without a connection until services are restored.
