Monday Night Storm Causes Damage in Pulaski County

Pulaski County, MO. – The storm on Monday, April 1, 2024, caused some major damage to Pulaski County. According to a news release, the Red Cross had to open a shelter on Tuesday for residents affected by the storm. The shelter is available to anyone in the area in need of assistance. This includes meals, a place to shower, and a warm place to stay during repairs. The shelter is at ARK Community and Sports Center in Waynesville.

During the storm, wind and tornados caused multiple power outages, major damage to buildings, and trees knocked down onto houses and into the road. Due to these damages, Waynesville R-VI School had to close until power was restored, and all athletic programs and games were postponed.

There were also damages reported to the Uranus Fudge Factory in St. Robert, MO. Posted on their Facebook page are pictures of those damages. After a tornado passed through, their Statue Mayor’s head was torn off the top of the statue.
