The West Plains Economic Development Corporation (EDC) will host 30-plus employers looking to fill 350-plus positions on Thursday, July 22 at the West Plains Civic Center. The hiring event will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will be open to the public.
Ozark Radio News spoke with Donna Parrott about the upcoming event. Employers will have access to information on how to help attract employees and information on on-the-job training, apprenticeship options, and work opportunity credit. Individuals who are looking for a job will have access on-site to computers for online applications, printers to print resumes, and information on how to “think outside the box”.
Some of the employers will be conducting on-site interviews.
The EDC is looking to hold more hiring events through the south central Missouri area in the coming months.
The Hiring Event will have tables spaced to allow better social distancing and masks will be provided to those who wish to wear one.
For more information or to get your business a booth at the event, should contact Donna Parrott with the Southcentral Workforce Investment Board at 417-257-2630.
