Hartville, MO. – On Monday, April 18, just before 3 a.m., Wright County deputies were dispatched to a burglary in progress on Cope Drive in Hartville. When they arrived on scene, the subjects were already gone. A following patrol of the area revealed the location of the suspect’s vehicle at a bridge on Creek Road. The occupants of the vehicle matched the description of the suspects and were identified as David Nungesser, age 34 of Mountain Grove, and Danielle Surface, age 37 of Mountain Grove.
K9 Officer Ace was deployed on the vehicle. He alerted on the back driver door where syringes were located that tested positive for methamphetamine.
The owner of the residence where the burglary had taken place arrived to Corporal Campbell’s location and was able to take possession of his items.
Both subjects were arrested and taken to the Wright County Jail where they were placed on 24 hour holds awaiting charges. Those charges include: Burglary 2nd degree, Theft $750 or more, Property Damage 1st degree, possession of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
