Mountain Grove Man Arrested Arrested for Exploitation and Enticement of a Minor

A Mountain Grove man is facing multiple felony charges after investigators say he admitted to planning sexual encounters with individuals he believed were underage. According to the probable cause statement, a group identifying itself as “Predator Poachers” contacted law enforcement on June 4, alleging that 44‑year‑old Bruce Eric Jack had been communicating with a decoy he believed to be a 12‑year‑old girl. “I retrieved a printed physical chat log between Bruce Jack and the decoy, who was believed to be a 12 year old female,” Corporal Kyle Champion wrote in the filing.

Champion reported that Jack admitted he had “messed up” and had been conversing with someone he believed was a juvenile. The statement says Jack also described two separate planned meetings, including one where “she was going to take an UBER to a motel to meet with him to have sex.” Investigators say Jack consented to a search of his computer, which was seized for analysis.

Prosecutors have charged Jack with enticement of a child, and first‑degree statutory rape or attempt. Champion wrote that Jack took “substantial steps” toward meeting the decoy and posed a danger to the community, particularly minors.
