Mountain Grove, MO. — A Mountain Grove woman faces allegations of domestic assault and child endangerment following an incident involving a minor Sept. 29 in Mountain Grove.
Jennifer Yarilia Defrancesco was named in a probable cause statement filed Oct. 2 in Wright County Circuit Court, alleging second-degree domestic assault and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
According to a probable cause statement prepared by Wright County Chief Deputy K. Akers, deputies investigated a reported physical confrontation between Defrancesco and a minor at a residence in Mountain Grove.
Court documents indicate Defrancesco acknowledged a physical altercation but provided investigators with an account that differed from the minor’s statements.
During a forensic interview conducted Sept. 30 at the Child Advocacy Center, the minor alleged that Defrancesco placed them in chokeholds, struck them and used physical force during the confrontation.
The minor reported injuries, including bruising and pain in the chest and rib area. According to court documents, a forensic nurse expressed concern about possible rib fractures and recommended immediate medical evaluation. Investigators had not confirmed the extent of the injuries when the probable cause statement was prepared.
Based on the investigation, Akers requested an arrest warrant for Defrancesco on allegations of second-degree domestic assault and first-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
The case is filed in Wright County Circuit Court under case number 26WR-CR00493.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
