Mountain View, MO. – The Mountain View Police Department say that one man was arrested for an assault this morning, the response causing what is called a “soft lockdown” with the nearby Mountain View Birch Tree Elementary School to take place.
Law enforcement state this happened around 8:10am as a result of a response to the initial disturbance.

Officer McGee was the responding officer who quickly found the suspect one block from the school, before proceeding to then take them in without further incident
The soft lockdown was then immediated lifted after the school was notified.
