Mountain View Resident Seriously Injured in Saturday Crash

Mountain View, MO. – A Mountain View Man was transported by air ambulance after being seriously injured in a crash on Saturday.

Trooper J.J. Smith of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop G was the investigator of this crash. On their report, they state the time of the crash was at roughly 3:55pm.

Michael Ray, 46 was driving a 1970 Chevy C60 truck Southbound on County Road 3400, when he crashed near US 60 just 200 yards West from the city limits of Mountain View.

Ray ran off the roadway and stuck a fence, a building, and a tree. The report does not include which building was damaged in the area. While the damage to the vehicle was minor, Ray was not wearing his safety device and suffered serious injuries. He was transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment.
