According to Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), an Ellsinore teen died in a one-vehicle accident Thursday (1/28) afternoon.
A vehicle driven by 18-year-old Hunter Clark, of Van Buren, traveled off of the roadway and struck a tree. Clark was taken by ambulance to a Poplar Bluff hospital with serious injuries.

His passenger, a 17-year-old female, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The MSHP does not provide names of individuals under the age of 18.
The accident happened at 2:55 p.m. Thursday on MO 103, three miles south of Van Buren.
This is the second fatality accident in Troop G of 2021.
