Doniphan, MO. – A pedestrian was struck on U Highway and suffered fatal injuries, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Troop E.
On May 26, 2023, 18-year-old Allison Skaggs of Doniphan, MO., was driving Southbound on U Highway in a Chevy Colorado. Roughly 3 miles South of Doniphan, Skaggs struck a pedestrian at around 8:30 pm. Danny Caudill, a 56-year-old Doniphan resident, was the pedestrian in this accident, and was pronounced deceased at the scene at 8:50 a.m. the following day.

The report states the pedestrian was in the roadway at the time of the crash.
This accident was investigated by Sergeant B.L. Riefle, and assisted by both Corporal Westmoreland and Trooper Conover, all of Troop E.
