MSHP: Two new troopers assigned to Troop G

Troop G, Willow Springs, of the Missouri State Highway Patrol announces the assignment of two new troopers to Troop G:

Kage Etherton

Trooper Kage W. Etherton has been assigned to Zone 4, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Trooper Etherton is a native of Aurora, Missouri. He is a graduate of Aurora High School and attended Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, where he completed their law enforcement academy. Before joining the Patrol, he was employed by the Aurora/Marionville Police Department in Aurora, Missouri. Trooper Etherton is married to Shania (Siegrist) Etherton. They have a son, Neyland Etherton. Trooper Etherton’s zone supervisor will be Sergeant Thomas Young and his field training officer will be Corporal Stacy Crewse.

Jacob Smith

Trooper Jacob J. Smith has been assigned to Zone 3, Northern Howell and Shannon counties. Trooper Smith is a native of Winona, Missouri. He is a graduate of Winona High School and attended Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice. Trooper Smith’s zone supervisor will be Sergeant Neal Foster and his field training officer will be Corporal Jeff Cunningham.

The new troopers were members of the 109th Recruit Class of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The 109th Recruit Class began training on January 6, 2020, and graduated on June 26, 2020. They will report for duty on July 13, 2020.
