Law Enforcement agencies in MO have AGAIN received reports about the warrant scam. Scammers create a sense of urgency and fear by saying you have a warrant, demand money and to resolve the situation quickly. They even spoof law enforcement phone numbers.

• Law enforcement will never call to demand payment or threaten arrest over the phone.
• We do not accept payment in gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency.
• Caller ID can be faked — don’t trust it at face value.

1. Do NOT let the urgency of the call scare you into making a hasty decision.
2. Do NOT share personal info or send money.
3. Hang up and report the call to your local police department.
