WEST PLAINS, Mo. – Missouri State University-West Plains’ (MSU-WP) Grizzly Volleyball team is going to the NJCAA Division I Women’s National Volleyball Championship Tournament next week, and officials want to send the team off right.
A short celebration and send-off rally will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the J.W. Phillips Grizzly Lofts, 665 Missouri Ave., in West Plains, and university officials invite everyone to attend.
The Grizzlies punched their ticket to the tournament, set for Nov. 20-23 at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, when they defeated Region 16 foe Jefferson College in the championship of the NJCAA Midwest A District Tournament Nov. 9 at Vincennes, Indiana.
The Grizzlies are seeded 10th in the national tournament and will face seventh seeded Odessa College of Odessa, Texas, at 1 p.m. Nov. 20. The game can be viewed online on the NJCAA Network website, NJCAA.org/Network/Live.
