West Plains, MO. – The Mtn. View-Birch Tree R-III school district will be moving to a 4-day week following news released from the most recent school board meeting.
The district had released surveys to the community and sent home paper versions for parents to fill out. After collecting over 1000 surveys, the consensus was that a majority of the community wanted to move to the 4-day week.
According to the school, the new 4-day calendar will have the same amount of days as the 2022-2023 calendar and daily starting and ending times will remain the same. In the new calendar, there will be seven 5-day weeks but, “days off” will be more consistent.
Additional information will be released in the coming months leading up to the 2023-2024 school year.
