West Plains, Mo. – A Mountain View man lost his life in a Tuesday afternoon motorcycle crash in Wright County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the accident occurred at 4:40 p.m. on Highway 95, twelve miles north of Mountain Grove.
A southbound 2009 Honda CBR driven by Riley Pickard, age 20 of Mtn. View, MO, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Pickard was thrown from the vehicle and struck a tree, suffering fatal wounds. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Wright County Coroner.

This makes the 28th roadway fatality for M.S.H.P. Troop G in 2022, compared to 30 at this time last year.
