104 was driving down W 5th St. and smelled smoke. 104 stopped at the bus barn and noticed smoke coming from the building, contacted fire department.

Female had said she heard noises coming from the field by her house, at first she believed it was a person but after hearing it, was not sure. After looking it up, she believes it was a mountain lion. Area was searched and nothing found.

Report taken
911 dispatched 103 and 128 to W. 1st St. for 3 pit bulls loose, trying to attack the neighbors. Units arrived on scene and the animals were inside a fence at the home. No one was outside the home or came outside. Animal control told the officer’s the owner of the animal’s works at Crosscut. A report was taken from the neighbors and stated they would like the animals kept ups so they do not get bit nor any of the kids in the area.

103 was dispatched to a party where the residents’ had been asked to turn the music down. Music was turned up instead. Spoke with all parties involved and they turned the music down.

A couple came in the police department to report an assault. The incident took place outside of city limits. Howell County SO was notified and information was taken for a report.

Tree had fell and was wedged under a car. After arriving on scene to assist, citizen had already stopped and assisted removing the branch.

Someone had stuck a deer. Deer was still alive but with broken legs and in roadway. Arrived on scene and checked the area. Nothing was found.

RP states 3 teenage boys were trying to attack him and were in his home. RP called back to state they had stolen his firearm. Area was secured. After speaking with victim it was found that he was having medical issues and there was no one in the home.

Sister of male was stating that he had called her and was still seeing people in his house and was threatening to shoot them. Wants an officer to try and get him to go to the hospital. 123 arrived on scene as well and was able to talk the male into going to the hospital.

Called back subject who was wanting information on reporting a stolen vehicle. Was advised the vehicle was located in town but was stolen out of Texas County. Advised that since vehicle had been stolen from Texas County, to report the vehicle stolen at the Sheriff’s Office and for the subject to request Texas County contact us to hold the vehicle.
