Mtn. View Police Makes Monday Meth & Marijuana Arrest

Mtn. View, MO. – On Monday, April 4, 2022, Sergeant Michael Pauly conducted a traffic stop on US 60 for failure to dim headlights to oncoming traffic. During the traffic stop Sergeant Pauly could smell the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver and passenger both did not have valid drivers licenses and were on probation and parole for various felonies. The driver stated all he had in the vehicle was a little bit of weed and handed Sergeant Pauly a marijuana bud.
 
In a search conducted of the vehicle, Sergeant Pauly found approximately 196 grams of a crystal substance suspected of being Methamphetamine, 3 grams of suspected Cocaine, 28 grams of Marijuana and several Ecstasy pills. Also found within the vehicle was a 9mm handgun and accompanying magazines. During the investigation it was determined that they were in route to locations in Mountain View and Birch Tree.
 
Charges for drug trafficking are pending.
