West Plains, Mo. – A multi-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler near Brandsville injured four people on Friday. According to the Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:10 a.m. on US 63 one mile south of Brandsville.
A 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Adam Swan, 18 of St. Louis, attempted to pass a 2006 International 7400 driven by John King, 51 of West Plains, and lost control. The Jeep then struck a 2008 Nissan Frontier driven by Renato Juarez, 49 of Tulsa, OK., and the International before coming to a stop.
Swan suffered moderate injuries. Juarez and one of his passengers, Milton Cruz, had minor injuries while another passenger, Franklin Garcia Caballero, suffered moderate injuries. King was not injured in the crash. Those injured were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment.
