The West Plains City Council met for their reorganization meeting on Monday, June 8. Johnny Murrell was sworn in as City Councilman taking Cary Stewart’s previous seat. He will serve until April 2024.
Certified election results were reviewed and approved showing Johnny Murrell with 276 votes and John Niesen with 271 votes. The City Charter amendment passed with 316 yes votes and 204 no votes.

Councilman Mike Topliff will serve as Mayor Pro-Tem after a unanimous nomination. Councilman Josh Cotter will serve as a voting member on the Planning and Zoning Commission.
