Mountain Home, AR. – A family of four, born and raised in Nevada, started a journey in 2022 from Susanville, California. The White family started a home-school journey across the United States. The family includes 15-year-old Lucus White, 16-year-old Levi White, and their parents Josh and Terra.
This family made a stop at Mountain Home over the weekend. They stayed at the Baxter County Fairgrounds. On their website and Facebook page, Levi and Lucus explained that this homeschool project came after his father took a slightly similar trip in 2014. They decided to go on a 4-year adventure to live like their “pioneer fathers”. They left on the journey, which they dubbed the L&L Man Quest, with seven horses and two mules. The Whites have stated that they are not following a planned route and are just going wherever their journey takes them.
They decided to stop in Mountain Home after getting many people from the area reaching out to them. During their stay, they received many suggestions on directions they should take and told locals many stories about their trip. Below is a map of everywhere they have been.
