Licking, MO. – A new prisoner death has been publicly announced from the South Central Correctional Center in Licking, Missouri.
The decedent has been identified as James Shoemaker, a 55-year-old man who was serving a 20-year sentence for 1st Degree Statutory Sodomy, and a life plus 999 year sentence for two counts of Forcible Sodomy.

Shoemaker was pronounced deceased at 9:06pm on Wednesday, October 9th. Shoemaker was originally taken into the Department of Corrections on July 22nd of 2020.
