“This marks an important milestone for our university. It reflects our strength as a vibrant institution that transforms lives through impactful education and training, offering personalized support for student success and strengthening our communities,” said MSU-WP Chancellor Zora Mulligan.

Mulligan added, “Our entire university community played a role in this reaffirmation and I am grateful to everyone who contributed to this achievement.”

The process that led to the campus’ reaccreditation began in January 2024 under the leadership of then-Chancellor Dennis Lancaster. A campus wide oversight committee prepared an assurance argument and ensured that the campus was fully prepared for a November 2025 site visit team of peer reviewers.

The committee was led by Dr. Michael Orf, Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, and was comprised of Leigh Adams, Dean of General Education and Professional Programs; Alex Graham, Director of Assessment and Accreditation; Renee Keith, Professor of Child and Family Development; Carla Neff, Health Information Technology Lecturer; Rachel Peterson, Athletic Director; Erica Puckett, Assistant Director of Admissions; Dasha Russell, Dean of Career and Technical Education; and Dr. Angela Totty, Vice Chancellor of Student Services. The team sought input from faculty, staff, students, and other stakeholders and gathered evidence of the campus’ ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and the fulfillment of its mission.

MSU-WP will participate in its next comprehensive evaluation for reaffirmation of accreditation during the 2029-30 academic year.
