Norfork, AR. – The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office has issued an address to the public detailing the discovery of a deceased male after responding to a home invasion call.
The call took place on the morning of Tuesday, July 11th at a residence on 1st Street in Norfork, AR. A resident of the home had stated an individual had broken into their home. The intruder was identified as Skyler Smith, 28 of Norfork, who was wanted on a Felony warrant where he had caused extensive damage to the same house he was currently inside.
Deputies entered the home and found the body of Smith in the attic with a long firearm pointed toward himself. The Baxter County Coroner was called to the scene and the residence was afterward investigated by the Baxter County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division and investigation is ongoing.
