The Ozark Spring National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) is working with the Missouri State’s Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) organization to establish a local SAR chapter in West Plains.
A local SAR chapter would be for those men who have an ancestor who served in the American Revolutionary War.
The Missouri SAR (1 12, 1889) is a lineage society whose members can trace their ancestors to those who fought and/or supported the American Revolution.
According to a public statement on the announcement, “The mission of the Missouri SAR is to promote patriotism, history, and education. The SAR accomplishes their mission by recognizing America’s veterans and public service members.”
Those interested in membership with Sons of the American Revolution or have questions about their ancestors’ service history, contact Cindy Pirch at 417-629-4102.
