One Arrested For Travelling 140mph, Attempting to Escape Police

Willow Springs, MO. – One individual listed as being from Altamonte, FL, has been arrested with a slew of charges after speeding and attempting to escape law enforcement on Highway 60.

This started at 8:57 am on Sunday, June 11th, as the Willow Springs Police Department began pursuing a Dodge Challenger at a rate of 140 mph. The chase continued to Cabool, where local police continued pursuit and requested assistance from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers attempted to get into position for spike deployment when the driver of the Dodge crashed. This crash occurred when the driver tried to exit onto Missouri Route 95, and struck another vehicle near the top of the exit ramp.

No injuries were reported and the driver, identified as Caleb Blake, age 22, was taken into custody on a 24-hour hold pending formal charges. These include felony charges 2nd Degree Assault and Resisting Arrest by Fleeing, and several additional misdemeanors.
