Yellville, AR. – One person has been killed in a two-vehicle accident on US 62 near Yellville, AR.
This accident report from the Arkansas State Police lists two vehicles: a Hyundai Sonata traveling eastward, and a Ford F150 moving westward on Highway 62/412.
The accident happened at roughly 11:50 a.m. on January 2nd, when the Sonata crossed the center line while negotiating a curve, causing it to strike the Ford head-on. Conditions of the roadway are listed as being clear and dry.
The driver of the Sonata, Nelson Honeycutt, 39 of Cozahome, AR., was fatally injured in the accident. The driver of the Ford, a 67-year-old Malvern, AR. resident was injured in the accident and was taken to Cox South in Springfield for treatment. The extent of his injuries is unknown.
