WEST PLAINS, Mo. — A Pottersville resident was seriously injured Saturday evening after a one vehicle accident near West Plains.
A report from the Highway Patrol says 20-year-old Abbey Kimbrough was injured in the 6:26 pm accident after the car she was driving ran off-road and hit a ditch, causing the vehicle to begin to overturn. As the vehicle was overturning the report says it crossed the roadway and ended up in the left ditch and hit a tree, ejecting her from the vehicle.

Kimbrough was taken from the scene of the accident to Cox South hospital in Springfield.
The accident happened five miles east of West Plains on Highway 160.
