One Juvenile, One Adult Injured in DWI Crash

Pontiac, MO. – Two people from Ozark County were injured Saturday afternoon in an overturn crash.

The location of this weekend accident was Highway W, three miles east of Pontiac. A Chevy Silverado, driven by Katherine Pine, a 32-year-old female from Pontiac, was traveling east when, at roughly 3:50 pm, she traveled off the roadway. The vehicle was totaled when it overturned and struck an embankment.

Pine and her 6-year-old female passenger were injured. Pine suffered serious injuries, with the juvenile suffering moderate injuries. They were both taken to Baxter County Medical Center for treatment.

Pine was additionally found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash, and is facing criminal charges including 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Felony Driving while Intoxicated, Careless and Imprudent Driving, Failure to Wear a Safety Belt, No Insurance, and Failure to Secure a Child Less Than 8 In a Child Restraint.
