A fatal one vehicle accident happened early Saturday morning in Shannon County.
At 1:00AM, troopers with Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop G responded to a one vehicle accident. The driver, Virginia Lomax, 86 of Rolla, Missouri, had slid off Highway K at Akers and into the Current River. Lomax was pronounced dead at the scene by Shannon County Coroner Samuel Murphy and next of kin had been notified. This makes the 6th fatality for Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol for 2021, compared to 3 for the same time period last year.
