Online fundraising efforts help 37th Children’s Division

Through fundraising efforts from local organizations, Foster the Chaos and The Chaos Closet, the West Plains-Area Community was able to rent a storage unit for the 37th Children’s Division. This unit will be used to store items for children entering residential treatment who are not able to take their personal belongings with them.

Foster the Chaos posted on its Facebook page during the fundraising: When a child enters residential care, they’re not able to take personal belongings with them. This could be anything from a bike to toys and everything in between. Sadly, as more and more children come into care this need is great. We’re looking to raise $840- the cost of one 10x20x9 storage unit for a 12 month period of time. At the end of the 12 month period, we will revisit and reevaluate the storage needs.

The community donated more than enough to rent the unit for 12 months.
