The West Plains School District Board of Education is proud to announce Matthew Orchard as the new West Plains High School Principal for the 2020– 2021 school year.
Mr. Orchard will assume the role of high school principal effective July 1, 2020. Orchard replaces Dr. Jack Randolph, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Randolph served as the high school principal since 2012.
“We are extremely pleased to hire Mr. Orchard as the new high school principal. He is a great fit and has a proven track record of working collaboratively with teachers in his current role as assistant principal at the West Plains Middle School.” said Dr. Lori Wilson Superintendent of Schools.
“I am very excited and honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the principal at West Plains High School. I am proud of our school and district, and I look forward to serving alongside our faculty in continuing the tradition of excellence in our schools,” says Orchard. Orchard is married to Whitney Orchard, a counselor at the West Plains High School. Together they have two daughters, Myah and Norah.
Orchard will earn a specialists degree from the University of Missouri in May 2020. He currently holds a Masters in Educational Administration from Williams Woods University, a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Missouri State University, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminology and Sociology.
