Over 1$ Million to Flow into Local Area via Community Revitalization Grant Program

On Thursday, March 23rd, Missouri Governor Mike Parson announced that the Community Revitalization Grant Program, put forth by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, was awarded more than $94 million. Through this process, at least $1.2 million will see its way into our listening area.

According to the Recipient Page of the announcement of this allocation of funds, $900,000 dollars has been dedicated to the Library and Business Center areas of the City of Houston. These funds will be added to the overall total that have been collected over a long period of time with the purpose of constructing a library on top of the Houston Storm Shelter.

An amount of money totaling up to $376,992 was granted to “Downtown West Plains, Inc.”, which is known as the Ozarks Small Business Incubator, or OzSBI, to the public. These funds will be put toward the Start and Grow: Mentoring & Training for Success program.
