“Please take a moment to stop by, meet staff from various departments, and have a little lunch,” said Terry Sanders, Executive Director at OAI. “This is a good time to meet the public, discuss the issues facing area residents, and establish or improve partnerships with community leaders and organizations, and to make a difference in Oregon and Texas county.”

The Community Appreciation meeting originally started as Community Chats in 2020, with the first one being held February 20, however, future meetings were postponed due to the COVID19 pandemic.

Sanders added that the new Community Appreciation format will feature hot dogs, nachos, and drinks for the public to enjoy. Information on the wide range of programs administered by OAI will also be available for those who may need assistance.
