Ozark Co. man killed, three children hurt in Tuesday crash

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, an Ozark County man was killed in a single car accident Tuesday afternoon near Thornfield.

29-year-old Boyd Hill, of Isabella, ran off the right side of the roadway, over corrected onto the roadway and overturned. Hill was partially ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three juvenile passengers were also injured in the accident. A 7-year-old boy was taken by air ambulance to a Springfield hospital with serous injuries. A 3-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old girl were taken by private vehicle to a Springfield hospital with minor injuries.

The accident happened at 1:49 p.m. Tuesday on Highway Z, four miles southeast of Thornfield.

Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol lists this crash as the 13th fatal accident of the year, compared to nine at this time last year.
