Ozark County Hosts Class for Officers to Help Respond to Traumatic Injury

Ozark County, MO. – On Wednesday, April 13, 2022, the Ozark County Sheriff’s Department held two classes on “STOP THE BLEED”. This course has been developed by The American College of The Surgeons Committee on Trauma to reduce the loss of life due to a major traumatic event such as automobile accidents, knife, and gun wounds, as well as other traumatic injuries.

Certified Instructor and OCSD staff member, Dan Israel was assisted by Theodosia Family Medical Clinic physician, Dr. Aaron Newton and Lacey Robb, RN who is the program director for Air Evac 12 out of Mountain Home, Arkansas.
Eleven OCSD deputies completed the training.
