Ozark County Man Arrested on Domestic Assault, Drug Charges

Gainesville, MO. – A man who lived North of Gainesville was arrested on September 25th on charges of 1st Degree Kidnapping, 2nd Degree Domestic Assault among others.

Deputy Rhoades of the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call of possible domestic assault at 390 County Road 832, roughly 10 miles North of Gainesville. It was there he made contact with a female that had suffered several injuries from her husband, including cigarette burns, abrasions from glass bottles, and significant bruising from strikes.

According to further testimony in the probable cause statement, the victims husband, Jody Weyrauch, had also threatened her life if she tried to escape or reported to the cops, and had previously held her at gunpoint on a multi-county drive two weeks earlier.

Weyrauch was arrested and search also revealed illegal ownership of prescription medication, as well as various methamphetamine-related paraphernalia.
