Ozark County Man Faces Arrest After Just Leaving Jail

Gainesville, MO. – Two individuals from Ozark County have been arrested following a traffic stop on July 22nd, with one having just left from the Department of Corrections earlier that day.

This information comes to us from a recent release of information from the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office. They state that a traffic stop was conducted on Missouri State Highway 5, and K9 Karo was deployed to search the vehicle for drugs.

During the search, K9 Karo alerted to the presence of a controlled substance and further investigation was performed. Drug paraphernalia was located inside and the two occupants of the vehicle, Christopher Campbell and Carrie Laird were arrested.

Further statements on the event attest Campbell was still wearing his sandals from prison time, and was on parole for a previous charge of possession of a controlled substance and was on his way home from the Department of Corrections.
