Gainesville, MO. – Ozark County has been selected as the recipient of $6,518 in federal funding from the Department of Homeland Securities Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA. This comes as a part of the Emergency Food and Shelter program, which was made to supplement and expand other organizations ability to care for those who are involved in an emergency situation.
According to the Ozark County Times in Gainesville, a group of local volunteer members will determine how the funds will be allocated to different programs within Ozark County.
