Bakersfield, MO. – The Ozark County Sheriff Cass Martin will attend tonight’s town hall meeting in Bakersfield Missouri, starting at 6pm.
The purpose of this visit is to discuss a proposed Ozark County Law Enforcement Sales Tax that will appear on the November 8th Ballot.
The purpose of this sales tax proposal, per the recent post on the Ozark County Sheriff’s Facebook page, is to increase proactive patrols and case investigations, hiring additional personnel, modernizing the jail and dispatch center, and to increase staff wages to a competitive rate within the area.
