Gainesville, Mo. – An Ozark County woman has been arrested and charged with assault after shooting two people on Friday night. Rhonda Sprague, 57 of Caney Mountain, is charged with 1st Degree Assault, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Assault, 3 counts of Armed Criminal Action, Shooting at a Motor Vehicle, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon while Intoxicated according to court documents.
The incident began on the evening of May 6 at 11:30 p.m. when deputies with the Ozark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported shooting in the Caney Mountain area. After arriving, deputies found two individuals with gunshot wounds. One victim was airlifted to a hospital and the other was taken by ambulance.
Rhonda Sprague is being held in the Ozark County Jail with No Bond.
