Gainesville, MO. – The Ozark County woman who was facing potentially three decades in prison for the death of an infant, has been sentenced in court this week.
Sondra Clark, 42, was the temporary caretaker of a 2-month-old infant in 2015. Clark had fallen asleep after admitting drug use and rolled on top of the infant, leading to its death.
Clark negotiated a guilty plea in court to a count of felony First Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, which led to the judge sentencing her to seven years in prison, with seven years suspended. Now, she is serving five years of probation and is not allowed to be left unsupervised with a child under the age of 12.
