Ozark County Woman Sentenced to Probation For Shooting Two People in May

West Plains, Mo. – An Ozark County woman who shot two people earlier this year has been sentenced to probation. Rhonda Sprague of Gainesville pled guilty to two charges of 2nd Degree Assault before Judge R. Craig Carter. On Wednesday, Sprague was sentenced to five years probation. 

The charges stem from an incident on the evening of May 6, 2022. Ozark County Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call of two individuals that had been shot in the Caney Mountain area.

Sprague was initially charged with the two counts of second degree assault, first degree assault, three counts of armed criminal action, shooting at a motor vehicle, and unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated.
