West Plains, MO. – The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, a favorite band of the Ozarks, has announced that this coming year of touring will be their final one.
This announcement was released in the morning hours of Tuesday, January 16th, and comes directly from a press release from the band. This final tour, named the “When It Shines” tour, will take place through this year of 2024 and into 2025. At the end of 2025, they will then officially retire.
Founding band members John Dillon and Michael Granda stated that “When it Shines is not just a tour; it’s a heartfelt farewell to our amazing fans who’ve supported us through the years… We’re immensely grateful for the love and unwavering support we’ve received for over 50 years.”
This means the concert with 38 Special and the Daredevils later this year, coinciding with the eclipse, could be the last chance for many people to see this local favorite one more time.
