West Plains, MO. – In June, the official transition of ownership of the Ozark Marketing Company began from longtime owners Tom and Shawn Marhefka to Better Newspapers Inc., which is owned by Greg Hoskins of Mascoutah, IL.
This changeover will not feature many outward differences for those who engage us in our multiple platforms. Whether video or audio, website or radio, impacts will be few and far between.
This changeover was years in the making when Greg purchased the Horse Trader, a local publication from Tom and Shawn. Better Newspapers was founded in 1991 and began with the purchase of several newspapers in Mascoutah that were in debt. Since then, the company has grown to 35 overall publications.
