The Missouri SAR (l 23, 1889) is a lineage society whose members can trace their ancestors to Patriots who fought in and/or supported the American Revolution. We honor their service to the founding of our great nation and because of their sacrifices, we enjoy the freedoms that we have today.
The mission of the Missouri SAR is to promote Patriotism, History, and Education. The SAR accomplishes their mission by recognizing America’s veterans and public service members. A few of the membership’s activities include a scholastic contest and scholarship awards for young people, recognition of young leaders in JROTC and Eagle Scouts. Additionally, SAR promotes history and recognizes outstanding history teachers for their service and provides a Color Guard for many Patriotic and Community events.
