Ozarka College named military friendly school for 2020-2021

Ozarka College recently was named to the 2020-2021 Military Friendly Schools list by VIQTORY media. The list honors the top 20 percent of colleges, universities and trade schools that are doing the most to embrace America’s military service members and veterans as students. This is the eleventh consecutive year that Ozarka College has been included on the list.

“We are privileged at Ozarka to be able to serve so many of our veterans,” said Ozarka College President Dr. Richard Dawe. “Providing quality service to veterans, their families and all students is something we take very seriously. Being identified as a military friendly college is gratifying; it confirms to us that we are honoring their service in an appropriate and effective way.”

Ozarka College received marks for exceeds standards across all areas of support measured.

The Military Friendly Schools website, found at  www.militaryfriendly.com, features the list, interactive tools and search functionality to help military students find the best school to suit their unique needs and preferences.   The 625 colleges, universities and trade schools on this year’s list exhibit leading practices in the recruitment and retention of students with military experience.

The 2020-2021 list of Military Friendly Schools ® was compiled through extensive research and a data-driven survey of more than 8,800 VA-approved schools nationwide. Ernst and Young LLP independently verified the survey tabulation process, methodology and weightings that comprise the 2020-2021 list by using the criteria set forth by VIQTORY.
