Ozarka College receives grant for hangar

MELBOURNE, Ark. — Ozarka College has been awarded a grant by the Arkansas Department of Aeronautics to build a maintenance hangar at the Melbourne airport.

The Melbourne City Council approved the grant application that provides the Ozarka College Aviation Program the space it needs to accommodate its substantial rise in student enrollment. Ozarka College will cover the 20 percent match in the 80-20 percent grant as payment for a long-term lease with the city of Melbourne, according to school officials.
